Where does Intuit tell you that y'all need XP SP3? You plain don't need information technology if you're running Windows 7 and trying to install a electric current version of TurboTax.

Cheers to all for their replies. My problem does not make sense, since I have Windows vii. I downloaded a electric current 2015 TurboTax Deluxe from Amazon.com (which I've washed in past years). Later repeated attempts to install the plan, I ran the "compatibility" utility and was told it was OK because I had XP SP2. Then I get an automatically generated popup from Intuit maxim: "Sad but TurboTax 2015 cannot be installed on your computer because you need Windows XP Service Pack 3 installed."
Thinking maybe the download was corrupted, I downloaded the aforementioned product directly from TurboTax and had the same problem. When I called Intuit'south help desk, person told me I needed XP SP three?
As I said hither, none of this makes sense to me because the TurboTax product says it's uniform with Windows seven.
I will add that I've had odd problems after installing Windows ten on a tech friend's recommendation; discovering that I didn't like it compared to 7 and and so reinstalled Windows 7 within hours. Could that be the problem?
Any other thoughts?

Whoever at the Intuit assistance desk told you that was mistaken. TurboTax works but fine on Windows 7. The just thing it doesn't practice is pay my taxes.
I suspect that your Windows 7 installation is corrupted, a not unusual occurrence afterwards flirting with Windows x.

OT, but your link is to service pack 3 for Part, not for XP. Furthermore, the links we used to post for XP SP 2 and SP 3 have been taken downward by Microsoft. The downloads are, however, still available from the Microsoft Update Itemize.
One-time link to XP SP three (no longer works):
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=24
Old link to XP SP 2 (no longer works):
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=28
Microsoft Update Catalog (use IE but):

Delight disregard my completely incorrect response, I apologize. Information technology certainly has nothing to practise with this conversation since this is about Windows seven. I'll delete my response.

Lem, So if that's the example, what would yous suggest? Can I go some help from Microsoft or contact Intuit once again? I was reluctant to install Windows 10 in the commencement identify because of what I'd read about it. I should have just left well enough alone. Thanks.

Some of the others who have already responded on this thread are far more knowledgeable than I am with regard to fixing problems resulting from reverting to Windows 7 after a Windows x install.
If one of them doesn't come back with some helpful communication in a reasonably brusque fourth dimension, I propose starting a new question with the discipline, "Tin't Install TurboTax After Reverting To Win 7 From Win 10." Either repeat the details near your result that you described earlier and/or include a link to this thread: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/turbotax-install-on-windows-7/7ea95677-f0bf-4b6e-ae36-c7bc51af3a19?msgId=8fa90573-1083-4426-bf1e-90f1d851e885
